About The Write Edit

I spent many years in New York—the heart of the publishing world—before moving to Philadelphia and eventually Santa Fe, New Mexico, home to a vibrant literary community. My career began as a literary assistant at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, where I gained early insight into storytelling and the creative process. From there, I evaluated manuscripts for a literary agent, deepening my understanding of what publishers and agents look for.

My passion for the written word led me to earn a master’s degree in publishing. Along the way, I was widely published as a writer and honed my skills as an editor. I worked as a book reviewer for Kirkus and finally founded The Write Edit. Creating my own editing business allowed me to achieve my ultimate goal: helping writers bring their work to publication.

Today, I run The Write Edit full time and continally grow through advanced coursework, industry publications, and conferences. It has been a privilege to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many writers. You can read what they have to say here:  Testimonials.
